FORM

East Fremantle has not lost since Round 3 when going down to Claremont, and has strung together 12 straight wins, including two more victories over the Tigers since then. The latest being in the nail-biting semi-final where the Sharks only just got home in dying moments with Claremont fiercely attacking.

TEAMS

CHANGES

Claremont has kept the same side with four additional inclusions to the Tigers’ extended bench. Charlotte Tompkin, Jess Freame and Abby Maynard join midfielder Taylah Orzel as those named in the squad.

East Fremantle is in the same boat, adding four players to its squad for the big day from its semi-final performance, bringing in Maya Louvel-Finn, Caylen Crook and the experienced duo of Larissa Versaci and Samara Pluschke.

AFLW DRAFT TALENT

Two of the top AFLW Draft prospects for this year face off in the game, with East Fremantle star Zippy Fish the reigning Lou Knitter Medallist in this game. She will cross paths with fellow AFLW Academy member Claudia Wright, while bottom-age talent Juliet Kelly has been in great form since returning to the senior side.

The Sharks have a stack of State Academy prospects in defenders Natasha Entwistle and Taya Chambers, as well as utility Tiani Teakle all top-agers. Alicia Blizard up forward is an exciting talent, while Siena Jezierski-Brown is another late addition to the West Australian squad.

PREDICTION

East Fremantle has been the better team all year, but as this corresponding match the last two years has shown, the best team all year has not been the best team on grand final day. That opens the door to Claremont who has seemingly found its best form the last fortnight and pushed the Sharks all the way in the semi-final. Expect another nail-biting match tomorrow.
