Recent form

Adelaide will be looking to bounce back quickly from its first loss of the year, which it suffered last week at the hands of Brisbane.

St Kilda meanwhile is on a two match losing streak after a strong start to the year, and will be looking to turn that around tonight.

Last time they met

It has been a while since these two have matched up, with their last meeting coming all the way back in Season 7.

That particular afternoon the Saints gave the Crows a run for their money. The Saints were leading for much of the first half, but ultimately fell away in the second half to fall 16 points short in what ended up being the Saints’ final match of the season.

Key stat areas

When comparing how these two sides have gone so far this season, the stats tell a very contrasting picture.

The Crows have had far more of the ball than St Kilda, and have been doing much better than them in both hit outs and clearances. They have also recorded significantly more inside 50s than their opponents for today.

However, once the ball is inside 50 St Kilda has been the vastly more efficient side. They have also recorded less turnovers.

Key match up/s

Particularly for St Kilda, winning the clearance and keeping the ball away from Adelaide’s talented midfielders is going to be absolutely crucial. This means Jaimee Lambert in particular, but also Olivia Vesely and Tyanna Smith have a big job today, but Anne Hatchard, Ebony Marinoff and Stevie-Lee Thompson are not going to make things easy for them.
