2025 CTLG RMC MEDAL | Forward rises among top-age contingent

OAKLEIGH Chargers goalkicking machine Bailee Martin is one of only two bottom-agers in the top 10 of our Rookie Me Central Medal count. Having only played three games due to Oakleigh’s bye in Round 3, Martin has polled two best on grounds (for nine and seven goals respectively, as well as a three-vote game for her four goals in Round 2.
As it stands, Martin sits equal second on the table alongside a host of players set to feature prominently at the AFLW Under 18 Championships. Eastern Ranges’ Tayla McMillan, Northern Knights’ Marlo Graham and GWV Rebels’ Maggie Johnstone all on 13 votes, two behind the leader, Chloe Baker-West. The ball-winning Calder dynamo has polled in all four rounds, one of only two players – Scarlett Johnson is the other – to do so.
The full leaderboard will come after Round 6, but just five votes separates the first 13 players, with Murray Bushrangers’ Rose Bell the other bottom-ager with Martin after her back-to-back best on ground performances in Rounds 1 and 2. Dandenong pair Nalu Brothwell and Evelyn Connolly, Oakleigh star Chloe Bown and Geelong skipper Georgia Tyrrell are the other players to poll at least 10 votes thus far.
From the Northern Academies, Brisbane Lions Academy bottom-ager Molly Ferguson is out in front with seven votes from a possible 10, while teammate Harlee McIlwain and Giants duo Majella Day and Sophia Gaukrodger are all on five having been awarded best on ground in one of the games thus far.
