JUST one round remains in the SANFL Women’s competition for 2025 and while only five teams can make finals – three of which are locked in – there is still a number of possibilities for what the finals – and their makeup could look like. We take a look at Round 14 and the potential outcomes for the following week.
(1st) SOUTH ADELAIDE: vs. Woodville-West Torrens
Win or Draw = Minor premiership & hosting week one of finals
Lose = Fall to second and face the Eagles the following week away
(2nd) WOODVILLE-WEST TORRENS: vs. South Adelaide
Win = Minor premiership & hosting week one of finals
Lose = Remain in second and face South Adelaide at Noarlunga again next week
(3rd) NORTH ADELAIDE: vs. Sturt
Win & Central District lose = Third spot, take on Sturt again next week
Win & Central District win = Third spot, take on Central District next week
Lose by less than 109 points (roughly) = Third spot, take on Sturt again next week
Lose 109-0 or equivalent (roughly) = Fall to fourth spot, take on Sturt again next week
(4th) STURT: vs. North Adelaide
Win by 108 points or less = Fourth spot, take on North Adelaide next week
Win 109-0 or equivalent (roughly) = Third spot, take on North Adelaide next week
Lose & Central District lose = Fourth spot, take on North Adelaide next week
Lose & Central District win = Drop to fifth and miss out on finals
(5th) CENTRAL DISTRICT: vs. Norwood
Win & Sturt lose = Fourth spot, take on North Adelaide next week
Win & Sturt win = Fifth spot, miss out on finals
Lose = Miss out on finals and could fall as low as seventh
(6th) WEST ADELAIDE: vs. Glenelg
Win & Norwood win = Most likely fifth
Win & Central District win = Sixth
Lose & Central District win = Sixth
Lose & Norwood win = Seventh
Lose substantially & Norwood win = As low as eighth
(7th) NORWOOD: vs. Central District
Win well & West Adelaide lose = Fifth
Win narrowly & West Adelaide lose = Sixth

(8th) GLENELG: vs. West Adelaide
Win well & Norwood loses = As high as Sixth, most likely Seventh
Win narrowly = Eighth
