A long-term prospective tall, Wain brings a lot of unique attributes to the game and is a player who will benefit from greater exposure going forward. Her vertical leap is off the charts, having impressed as a junior athletics talent through her teenage years, and that, combined with her endurance makes her a potential 'unicorn'.

Wain has played for the Sydney Swans Academy and UNSW-ES Bulldogs, with her ability to get first hands to it at ruck stoppages very impressive, while also having even played other roles outside the ruck in the past. With a running capacity to cover the wing position, or even go forward, Wain might end up settling off halfback where she can use her leap to intercept.

The NSW/ACT talent still has plenty to work on as she looks to improve both her marking and general skills, but she had a breakout season for the Bulldogs in the AFL Sydney Women's Premier Division this year and did not look out of place against senior opponents. Watch for her to only get stronger in an elite program.
