PROFILE:

Asha Dufour is a really consistent midfielder who can find the ball in a variety of situations. Capable of competing in the air against taller opponents, working into space or taking it cleanly off the deck in congested situations, the West Adelaide talent is a developing prospect. After averaged 16.0 disposals, 4.5 marks and 2.0 inside 50s last season, Dufour spent her time on the inside where she added almost four clearances per game to her repertoire to go with 18.8 disposals and 4.1 marks.

At ground level, Dufour is clean and her best work is done by hand to extract the ball out of the stoppage and feed it to a teammate on the outside. Her work rate to get contest-to-contest also stands out, as does her inside clearance work and consistent production. The fundamentals when it comes to executing by foot is Dufour's main improvement areas with her precision, composure and decision making all going hand-in-hand.

Her form at SANFLW level and through the state program earned Dufour a deserving State Draft Combine invite, with her ball-winning abilities and clean hands enough to suggest to clubs there is plenty of improvement to come in the 170cm prospect.
