Ashton Ferreira had quite the rise up the ranks in 2023, starting the season in the WAFL Colts, before graduating to play two Reserves games, and finishing the year with a trio of outstanding League matches. He more than held his own at senior level, with two 25-plus disposal games for an average of 22 touches and eight marks rolling through the midfield.

Though he is more of an outside player to win it in space, Ferreira is able to work hard to get there and use his speed to best advantage. Though he does not lay a stack of tackles as a midfielder, he does as a forward, and plays more of a defensive role in that position. He could hit the scoreboard more often to be a more damaging player, but has shown a rapid rate of development to earn an AFL State Draft Combine invite.
