While his season was cruelly cut short by an ACL rupture, Ben Rongdit remains one of the most exciting raw prospects in this year's crop. The Geelong Falcons product has only played three Coates Talent League games over the last two years having mostly plied his trade with Geelong Grammar, but was part of the 2025 National Academy and starred for Vic Country's Under 16 side in 2023. He's also tied to the Geelong Cats' Next Generation Academy.

Rongdit rates athleticism as his top trait. His 97cm running vertical jump score in preseason would have been good enough for second place at this year's National Draft Combine, and it shows on-field with promising intercept marking ability. Rongdit attacks everything with vigour, including his tackling efforts at ground level, but is more pertinently able to play above his 184cm standing thanks to that aerial nous.

Kicking consistency is the main area Rongdit sought to improve on coming into the year. The left-footer also wanted to test out his versatility on the wing, but will now be considered with a more long-term approach. Pending the need for greater sample size or bids from other clubs, the Cats will hope Rongdit slides to a rookie spot to become a highly developable asset for the future. There's a lot of upside to extract.
