South Adelaide livewire Benny Barrett is one of the most enjoyable players to watch in this year's draft crop, credit to his electric speed and creativity. While measuring up at only 172cm, the Port Adelaide NGA member is a genuine impact player at the centre bounces, injecting life to the contest with his dancing feet and craft ground level work.

Barrett showcased his pace at the state draft combine with a 20m sprint time of 2.913 seconds - good enough for fourth overall. He uses such athletic gifts to generate scoring chances, often bursting out of traffic, weaving through it, or turning opponents inside-out. Being a left-footer is also a handy point of difference which catches opponents out.

While his x-factor makes for great viewing, Barrett can sometimes be erratic with his use by foot. Sharpening up that end product, particularly when moving at speed, will make him all the more damaging. Size is the other key question mark, though he is nimble enough, strong over the ball, and held up well in seven Reserves games this year.
