Subiaco Colts skipper Charlie Burke could hardly have led his side any better in 2024. The specialist wingman, who also rotated on-ball, gave his all throughout 15 appearances and was one of the competition's premier outside runners. He duly earned state Under 18 selection and shone in the tightly knit group.
Burke's running capacity helped the Black Swans move the ball fluently from end to end, as he held his width nicely to be an reliable outlet. His work rate was another key feature across all levels, working into all areas of the ground and applying himself defensively. Though still slightly-built, he doesn't lack any heart or toughness.
The 184cm prospect can still look to improve his contested game, and adding size will help him hold his composure under physical pressure. Burke is usually quite a neat and efficient user of the ball, so refining his kicking when running at full tilt or clearing a contest will only make him all the more effective.
