Charlotte Adamson hails from a soccer background and is eligible as a Cat-B rookie after spending her season at the Gold Coast Suns Academy. After an eye-catching game against Western Jets, Adamson put herself on the map to teams across the nation. A medium sized overager, Adamson earned a spot in the Queensland lineup, and while her form at times could be patchy, her upside was evident.

Boasting a penetrating kick and a competitive attitude, she provided some nice run with ball-in-hand and did well extracting it from the contest. Adamson is still raw and developing elements of her game, but given what she showed in patches throughout the 2023 season, it is clear the cross-coder has the talent to take her game to the next level.

What really caught the eye was her ability to do the unbelievable - such as blind spins out of traffic - but is still just rounding out her game. Averaging more than five tackles per game for the Suns Academy and more than six tackles per game at the national championships speaks to her high level defensive pressure.

If picked up, her club-tied Gold Coast Suns could be a good shout, though every club got the chance to see the potential upside with Adamson, who is still only 19. Though she did not get an AFLW Draft Combine invite, she does have the tools and room for growth that could have her in the mix.
