#37
Coen Livingstone
height: 199cm
weight: 96kg
D.O.B: 25-05-2005
Leagues: AFL U18 Championships
STRENGTHS:
+ Contested work
+ Presence
+ Ruck work
+ Strength
IMPROVEMENTS:
- Athleticism
- Kicking
A towering, strong ruck who was highly touted coming into the season, Coen Livingstone had his fair shares of ups and downs this year. Injuring his ribs in the first WAFL Colts final against Claremont, the 199cm tall missed the rest of the finals series, and then the State Draft Combine test due to a lung injury. When on the field, Livingstone showed that he can be a strong presence around the ground, competing well in the air and on the deck with aggression.
His overall strength, along with his ruck craft and contested work is what stands out the most in his game. The top-ager is not the most athletic player, though that should come as no surprise given his size and stature. His kicking looms as another area of improvement, but Livingstone is best suited to winning the ball and tapping or dishing off to a teammate. The nephew of Chance Bateman is tied to West Coast's Next Generation Academy and may slip through as a Category B Rookie option.
DRAFT RANGE: Late/Rookie
