SUMMARY: Norwood defender Jacob Collins proved a class above SANFL under 18s level on numerous occasions during the year, kicking 11 goals in 13 games for the side. His sole Championships game for SA came in 'the decider' against Vic Metro where he was impressive, collecting 13 disposals (10 kicks and three handballs), three marks, two tackles and five inside 50s. Collins is a nice size at 189cm who also tipped the scales at 89kg at the combine. As well as his physical maturity, Collins' ball use from defence is inconsistent but can be a real weapon when firing. This, combined with his speed (2.97-second 20m sprint) make him best suited to a role across half-back or a wing. Yet if he can develop more of an inside game, he has the tools to become a damaging option as a big-bodied midfielder.
