Jamie Parish is one of plenty South Australians who are just really good footballers. While the explosive tall running players tend to be in higher demand, Parish, who is now 22 years-old is readymade to make the jump to the next level. She has all the traits of an AFLW footballer, and while that athletic element seems to keep popping up, it does not impact the way she plays.

In fact, Parish is coming off an incredible breakout season where her performances essentially screamed 'pick me' to AFLW recruiters. Her reading of the play and aerial ability in general is fantastic, but what Parish has worked on since coming out of the Under 18s state program is her kicking precision and production, both of which have lifted significantly.

Following the 2025 season where the defender won the Roosters' best and fairest award, Parish showed a really complete profile that from a footballing sense at least, has few flaws. At the top of her game and hitting the start of her peak, she is more than capable of being competitive at the elite level, and she does have the capacity to play across other thirds of the ground as well even getting a taste through the middle and up forward.
