The West Perth product stands at 197cm and fares well aerially, presenting as a capable marking target on the edge of forward 50 who can blast home long-range goals. He built on a promising bottom-age campaign in 2022, doubling his goal average to an even two per his 10 WAFL Colts games, including a high of 4.3 in his first appearance.

Scaife earned the opportunity to represent his state during the Under 18 National Championships, booting two majors in his pair of appearances as the Black Ducks fought to a 1-3 record. Overall, Scaife showcases a couple of key tricks which suit his role perfectly. His impact on games usually comes via a strong mark on the lead or at stretch overhead, followed by sound set shot finishing from all angles and distances.

Though he never went goalless in West Perth colours this year, Scaife had some low-output games, perhaps typical of developing tall forwards. He looks best when able to release up the ground and lean on his marking prowess, having clunked 5.5 per match - meaning half of his touches come via that method.
