SUMMARY: A member of the GWS GIANTS Academy, Jeromy Lucas is a forward who has blistering speed, high-level endurance, a good vertical leap and savvy goal sense. Lucas, like many developing medium forwards, could improve his consistency further, popping up throughout games, but often having a really good quarter or half, and being held or relatively quiet for the rest. This was exemplified with a quiet first half against Vic Country at Ikon Park in the Allies trial games, before booting three goals in the second half to turn the game on its head and be a key reason for the GIANTS finishing off strongly and getting the points.  At the State Combine, he recorded 2.97 seconds on the 20m sprint and 21.1 on the Yo-yo test, showing off his strong blend of speed and endurance which will hold him in good stead. His agility (8.912 seconds) could improve, but it does not hold him back in games other than recovery. His hard running is enough to compensate and a reason why he can impact a contest inside 50.
