Jim Kelly flew under the radar in South Australia's undefeated title-winning team this year, but was noticed enough by recruiters to earn a state draft combine invitation. The small midfielder played a variety of roles around the square and through the middle in state colours, while also stepping up for five SANFL Reserves appearances with Norwood.

On the inside, Kelly possesses clean hands and fast feet to help move the ball to the outside. He prides himself on his decision making and has terrific vision to find teammates in space. His running ability is quite strong when employed on the wing and he has the ability to drive the ball forward, giving him that patented inside-outside balance.

Kelly's production levels were quite strong across the board at SANFL Under 18s level, proving he has a penchant for racking up possessions. As a smaller midfielder, continuing to build size and work on his stoppage craft will bring further growth, while Kelly can also work on some of his kicking execution - particularly under pressure or on the run.
