Kade Herbert has been somewhat of a jack-of-all-trades across the last two seasons. Spending plenty of time in Woodville-West Torrens' senior side, amassing 11 games overall, the Yorke Peninsula native has been reliable out on the wing but is also a capable on-baller, and can play the high forward role effectively.
Often renowned as the ultimate teammate, Herbert's work rate is outstanding. He runs as hard as anyone and applies himself unconditionally in defensive phases, which is hard to come by for midfielders at the junior level. With ball in hand, Herbert's poise and decision making are notable traits, along with his clean handling.
While certainly a natural footballer, Herbert is not quite so blessed with speed and athleticism. Having recognised as much, he sought to work on his explosiveness and displayed a desire to take the game on when possible. Both factors will help enhance his hurt factor on the attack. Herbert was a premiership player with the Eagles' Under 18 side this year.
