Kendra Blattman spent her top-age season as a ruck-forward and did enough to catch the eye in that dual role, with 2024 being a chance for her to swing back and show her talents there. Blattman played throughout the Swans Academy series in the Coates Talent League Girls, averaging 9.8 disposals, 2.8 marks and 2.3 rebound 50s as an exclusive key defender.

After that stint, Blattman focused on her time with Sydney University as she was a key player in steering the Students to a preliminary final having only secured the last spot in the finals series. Her ability to roll between defence and the ruck was important in that competition, and she was named in the competition's Team of the Year in the back 50.

Her contested marking, accurate and penetrating kick, and great strength and vertical leap make her an all-round footballer. If clubs focus on those elements rather than where she looks to continue improving - her speed and endurance - then she can be a reliable depth player who can make even more of an impact once building up that fitness further.
