SUMMARY: Mitch Crowden became a popular player at the National Under 18 Championships with neutral draft watchers after many compared the 175cm, 87kg midfielder to Ollie Wines. Both have enormous amounts of muscle and power through their legs and while he might be on the smaller side, Crowden is a reliable kick with good zip around the ground. He recorded a 2.92-second 20m sprint and 89cm running vertical leap at the South Australian Combine so certainly has good athletic traits. At AFL level, not many 175cm players are full-time midfielders so the question mark will be if he can be versatile enough to play up forward.
