The oldest player to receive a draft combine invite this year is Noah Pegoraro, who earned the same honours as a 22-year-old in 2019. Two years on and after a career-best WAFL campaign, the tall defender achieved top three results in the 20-metre sprint and two jumping tests. He also earned state representative honours in the WAFL-SANFL clash, priming him as one of the better mature-age options.
His athletic feats translate well to his game, with Pegoraro a sound reader of the play and high-flying outlet behind the ball. His leap and mobility also bode well for pinch-hitting stints in the ruck, pointing towards a good deal of versatility and upside. Having come a long way over the last three years, Pegoraro has once again put himself in draft contention.
