A daring small defender out of the Oakleigh Chargers, Ollie Badr might not have made the Vic Metro team, but produced some solid football throughout the Coates Talent League and school football seasons. A naturally outside-leaning player, Badr is light-on and uses his more effective traits to full advantage. Though his kicking under pressure can be an issue at times, he is clean at ground level, agile, and can provide natural rebound in transition.

As a high metres-gained player, Badr likes to take the game on, which is a key reason why he has earned a State Draft Combine invite. In seven Talent League games this year, he averaged 17 disposals, four tackles and nearly three breaches of either 50m arc, also venturing into midfield. With further improvement on his polish and consistency, Badr could become an effective running defender who suits the modern game. Though, at this point, he looms as a potential rookie prospect.
