POSITION: Midfielder/Defender  

Breuer has enjoyed a pretty strong season, averaging 17 disposals, three marks and five tackles, able to play across multiple positions. Showing composure with ball-in-hand, Breuer has an ability to win the ball and distribute with a nice turn of pace, and has never shirked a contest. He started the season in defence and then spent time in the midfield where he began to impact the game more.  

The question mark over Breuer is not his ability to find the ball - he does plenty of that - and has the defensive pressure and work rate to boot, but more so his impact on the contest, and his ability to consistently hurt the opposition. He kicked a remarkable goal against Murray Bushrangers from the wing, showing off his penetrating kick for the Rebels, but only kicked two for the season, primarily playing off half-back and through the middle, working around to find plenty of the pill.
