+ Defensive pressure

+ Hurt factor

IMPROVEMENTS:

- Scoreboard impact

Our top pick from non top-age AFLW Draft prospects, Sanger had a season to remember, first starting with Dandenong Stingrays then dominating for Collingwood in the VFLW. It was a remarkable rise in her first full season back from an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury, with Sanger averaging an incredible 21.4 disposals, 3.7 marks, 3.9 clearances and 7.5 tackles.

Boasting an elite endurance base, Sanger hardly put a foot wrong all year, taking out the VFLW Rising Star award. Though she now can rack up the contested ball, Sanger has experience off a wing in the past for the Stingrays, and has enormous hurt factor with her run-and-carry. Despite not boasting explosive speed, she covers the ground exceptionally well and has a nice balance of offensive and defensive traits.

Her productivity in 2025 was off the charts and had multiple AFLW clubs keen on the youngster. Given her proven ability at senior level, Sanger looms as one of the best bets to take the next step. Has plenty of improvement left after missing such significant time for her development.
