#27
Tom Medhat
height: 190cm
weight: 81kg
D.O.B: 16-08-2000
Leagues: AFL U18 Championships
STRENGTHS: Field kicking, marking, accumulation
IMPROVEMENTS: Consistency, goalkicking
SUMMARY: A medium-sized forward who is eligible for Fremantle as a member of their next-generation academy, Medhat is strong in aerial contests and covers the ground exceptionally well. In 11 games for West Perth’s Colts’ team, Medhat averaged 17 possessions, four marks, four tackles and booted nine goals while also playing as a big-bodied midfielder. For Western Australia, Medhat only played two games against Vic Country (12 possessions, seven marks and a goal) and the Allies (13 possessions, five marks and three goals), but showed that he has the potential to go far with his football. He also played senior football for West Perth later in the year with their Reserves team and showed glimpses of being able to handle the bigger bodies. The club that nurtures him and is patient with him, will be handsomely rewarded with a long term player.
