SUMMARY: Dynamic Calder playmaker Tye Browning has been a mainstay in the Cannons' lineup, turning out for each of their 17 TAC Cup hitouts this year after 16 in his bottom age season. The Craigieburn product has mixed game time between the wing and forward line, offering a good level of versatility in presenting as a running outside player or lead-up forward. Browning's clean hands and strong overhead marking for his size give him an X-factor, allowing him to take the ball cleanly on the move and clunk some impressive marks under pressure. Having spent a little more time up the ground, Browning has improved on his disposal output to an average of 17.9, but is down on his goal tally with one in almost every other game this year. While Browning's outside game has developed well, he could look to provide more presence on the inside if he is to continue playing up the ground - and that should not be an issue given his work rate and clean hands. Browning could also improve on his disposal consistency, as he goes at a low clanger rate, but is not always as effective as he could be by foot given he is entrusted with his 2.9 inside 50s per game. Browning's ability to consistently show up for the Cannons and provide some spark has not gone unnoticed, and he has traits that are often rare at the Under 18 level.
