An established player in the Victorian pathway, Zac Harding could not have done much more in his over-age campaign. Having missed out on Vic Country honours last year, he broke through to become the team's primary ruck option in 2025 and even debuted with Carlton in the VFL. His Coates Talent League Team of the Year selection proved the cherry on top.

While arguably undersized at 199cm, Harding is a physically imposing and aggressive ruckman. His craft is sharp, able to either win hitouts with his leap and bodywork, or take possession of the ball to clear. He put up some big numbers in Murray Bushrangers colours this year with dominant work at the contest, while expanding his influence around the ground.

Harding is quite quick when he builds a head of steam, but can work on his overall running capacity. Particularly with the recent AFL rule changes, that mobility and endurance will be key to sustaining his impact. Developing his forward craft will also help in that aspect, to begin hitting the scoreboard more regularly. Otherwise his fundamental skills are clean for a player his size.
