It was a much improved season for the Phoenix in NBL21, going from cellar-dwellers to finalists in just one year. In only their second season, the side claimed the final spot in the postseason, but were unfortunately defeated by eventual champions, Melbourne United. It remains clear that the side plans on running it back in the upcoming season, with not too much to report on the roster front. They were able to add some international talent in Zhou and Munford, while keeping the core group of stars such as Creek and Adnam that served them so well last season. The loss of star guard Keifer Sykes will likely sting, but it also provides the opportunity for Munford to take the reins and make this team his own as they push for a maiden championship in their third NBL season.
