Even spread across final Women’s Premier 1sts Team of the Week
THE final round of the Women’s 1sts season saw some superb performances. This includes a Dandenong star who was stellar with both bat and ball in hand, and in a rare sight this season another Plenty Valley star make the Team of the Week.
1. Paris Bowdler (Prahran)
Bowdler had another great innings with the bat as her side’s season came to a close. Against Plenty Valley, she made 67 in the win.
2. Amy Vine (Melbourne)
Amy Vine was a star with the bat against Dandenong on the weekend as Melbourne snapped a two game losing streak. Vine made 73 in the win.
3. Una Raymond-Hoey (Ringwood)
As her side caused one of the upsets of the season, Raymond-Hoey had another excellent innings with the bat, making 41.
4. Siena Ferrara (Essendon Maribyrnong Park)
A debutant in the Team of the Week, Ferera made 53 as her side went down to Box Hill and blew their chance to make this year’s finals.
5. Anusha Joshi (Plenty Valley)
A Bat makes it into the Team of the Week for the second time this season. Despite the disaster that has been the 2021/22 season for Plenty Valley, Joshi has been one of their stars so it is fitting she makes the final Team of the Week. In her side’s loss to Prahran on the weekend, she made 48.
6. Kimberley Garth (Dandenong)
Garth had a great innings with both bat and ball on the weekend in her side’s loss to Melbourne. With the bat she made 73, while also took 3/13 off her 9.1 overs, which included four maidens.
7. Tia Davidge (Wicketkeeper) (EMP)
Despite her team’s loss on the weekend, Davidge was busy behind the stumps and kept her side in the game. In the loss to Box Hill, she registered a stumping and assisted in two run outs.
8. Kristie Gordon (Box Hill)
Gordon had another great innings with the ball, as she helped her side beat the Bombers and clinch a spot in the finals. In the win, she took 3/31 off her 10 overs, which included a maiden.
9. Zoe Griffiths (Box Hill)
Like Gordon, Box Hill skipper Griffiths had another great innings with the ball, as she helped her side beat the Bombers and clinch a spot in the finals. She took 3/24 off her 10 overs, which included a maiden.
10. Hannah Rooke (EMP)
Although her side blew their shot at making finals, Rooke was a shining light for them in the loss. She only bowled three overs, but still took the remarkable figures of 3/8.
11. Maryam Omar (Carlton)
Omar was the pick of the bowlers for her side in their loss to the Rams, taking 3/28 off six overs, which did include a maiden.
