2024 VNL Fixture revealed

LATE last week the Victorian Netball League (VNL) announced their fixture for 2024, as the league embarks on a new era.

The season is set to get underway on March 6th, with the Grand Finals slated for August 7th.

Round 1 will see a Grand Final rematch in the Championship Division, as the City West Falcons, buoyed by the recent signing of Shimona Nelson, will look to ensure history repeats itself when they take on Boroondara Express.

Pride Round is set to take place in Round 11 while First Nations Round is slated for Round 14.

It is a new era for the VNL in 2024 as three new teams enter the competition and a whole new competition structure gets its debut.

There will be three new teams entering the league next season – the Bendigo Strikers, Gippsland Stars and Western Warriors – and the Ariels will be leaving the competition. However the Stars are only fielding an Under 23 side next year, so the Championship side of their opposing club each week will get a bye.

Alongside these new teams, the competition will go from three divisions to two, now only having a Championship and an Under 23 division.
