The towering goal shooter is a force to be reckoned with in the goal circle using her height to her full advantage and strong body positioning to reel in passes. Ryde is prolific with ball in hand able to post hefty totals week in week out and with further exposure to Super Netball level expect her to develop at a rate of knots. She is able to hold both along the baseline and has impressive balance given her height to tip toe along the line. Although she can be outmuscled at times Ryde has a never say die attitude commanding the ball and using her quick footwork to edge closer to the post.

The goal shooter can score with great speed and often sets the tone in attack with her clear holds and ability to dictate the space to her midcourters. Ryde is strong on the rebound able to gobble any missed shots.
