South Africa Squad for England Series Revealed

AFTER England released its squad for their upcoming series with South Africa earlier this week, overnight their visitors revealed their touring party for the series.

South Africa will be taking largely the same squad that went to Australia over to England, with a pair of changes.

Defender Ané Retief is one of the new faces in the squad. This is the first time Retief has been called up to the squad, but did represent her country at the recent Fast5 series in New Zealand.

The other addition to the squad is Owethu Ngubane. The recently signed Strathclyde Siren was meant to go to Australia for the recent series with the Diamonds but had to withdraw because of academic clashes with her university degree.

The pair replace Jamie van Wyk and Elmere van der Berg.

South Africa will be looking to get one back on the English this series. After drawing and then losing to the Roses in the Quad Series and not playing them at the World Cup, this series will be a chance for South Africa to exact revenge and end the year on a high.
