With big matches on every court, likely the biggest is the battle between Geelong Cougars and St Therese. Geelong only prevailed by four goals last time they met despite the Saints leading at half-time, pushing both sides to want to go one better this round given a win or loss at this stage of the season could turn the tables on the top half of the ladder. Meanwhile, bottom-ranked Ariels will take on Southern Seahawks, while Melbourne City Blackhawks will be in for a challenge against Pasifika Sharks, who the Blackhawks defeated with ease last time they met, though the Sharks were missing a number of key players.

DDNA will take on Sirens in Round 11, with a big rematch given DDNA well and truly took it to the Sirens back in Round 4 and only going down by six goals. DDNA have had a rough trot over the past few weeks, playing three of the current top four sides and playing second ranked Sirens tonight in what they will hope to be the start of a rise up the ladder. DDNA missed tall timber Christian White in holding position at the post last week, and while Jake Novak made the switch from defence to attack in White’s absence, the duo have been sorely missed in their respective positions. For the Sirens, Brodie Roberts and Josh Smith have been dominant as ever in recent weeks, finding their feet once more after a loss to Pasifika Sharks in Round 8. The duo’s ability to share the load at the post is key, and while the side was kept to only 50 goals last round against cellar dwellers, Ariels, they will be keen to bounce back this round. While Sirens are ultimately one of the tougher sides DDNA will come up against, getting past this hurdle will mean a relatively easy run home, coming up against Ariels, Southern Seahawks and St Therese in the final three rounds of the season. With two of these three sides sitting in the bottom with DDNA, a good match tonight could set up a solid run home for a side that has struggled to put goals on the board. Sirens, on the other hand, need a win this round to ensure they stay in a safe position on the ladder with an unfriendly last few rounds to finish off the season.
