The Sharks have had an up and down season struggling for consistency at times but still locking away the wins to keep in touch, making their clash between the Valley Wolves an exciting one. Both teams will be fighting to remain in the top four with DDNA also chomping at the bit and looking to move up the ladder taking on the last placed St Therese in the first game of the round. The Eastside Sonics have the bye for Round 12 leaving Geelong and Melbourne City Blackhawks to do battle while the first placed Parkville Panthers will be hoping to keep their winning streak intact against the NNE Vipers.

DDNA will be coming in hot after a demolition match last week which saw them run off with a 34-goal victory. The fifth placed side will be hoping to replicate that dominant form against an out of sorts St Therese in hope to work their way up the ladder and give themselves a shot at finals with the pointy end of the season quickly approaching. After only notching up one win for the season and coming off the bye St Therese could give DDNA a run for their money if they put everything out on the court, contest every play and run their opponents off their feet. St Therese will be hoping to prey on DDNA’s complacency and make the most of their opportunities. But, DDNA have plenty of belief and have shown they have what it takes to blow teams out of the water and keep their foot on the throat with the likes of shooter Christian White able to do damage from anywhere within the circle. When joined by the likes of Ellen Hurley and Sam Bury all three shooters can pose a threat to any defensive set up. For St Therese, Clare Johnson has shown her defensive skill able to pressure the shot and will have to bring that intensity for a full four quarters if they are any chance to stop DDNA.
