THIS week in the Northern Territory Football League (NTFL) Women’s Premier League, the Warriors will be eager to once again show their dominance against the Wanderers and show them why they have a winning percentage of 800%. St Marys would like to recover from their embarrassing win last week, but may struggle to stand up to a rampaging Darwin this Saturday. Meanwhile, the Southern Districts would like to hold onto their strong form when they meet Palmerston on Sunday. Also, on Sunday, the Razorbacks would like to hold onto a top-four spot when they meet Nightcliff, who is still looking for its first win of the season.

The Magpies are coming off the bye, so they should be well rested to face the reigning premiers, who look like a tyrant compared to most of the competition. Last week the Warriors smashed a winless Nightcliff, with spearhead Lisa Miceli kicking five for the day, while Amy Chittick kicked three, and was also ranked the best player on the day. The Wanderers will have their hands full on Sunday but will try to put in a valiant effort to halt the reigning premiers in their title defence.
ST MARYS V DARWIN BUFFETTES

The Buffettes have the top of the ladder in their sights, and after the performance of St Marys last week, they would be looking to bolster their percentage as well. Forwards, Machaelia Roberts and Celina Whan, will be eager to cause all sorts of headaches for the St Marys defence, as they continue their good form. Nikita Long was the standout for St Marys last week, and could be the shining light her team needs.

Last week the Crocs gave St Marys the death roll, smashing them by 116 points. Key forward, Charlie Deegan is in good form kicking four last week while Tayla Thorn may be getting some time inside 50, adding more power to a potent forward line. Under 18 representatives, Tabitha May and Janet Baird have impressed in recent weeks, and it seems that the youth are the ones to watch for the Magpies.
TRACY VILLAGE V NIGHTCLIFF

The Razorbacks are floating under the radar this season, but, could receive a massive percentage boost when they take on the bottom-of-the-ladder Tigers. Sarah Bailie-Mace is in strong form while Razorbacks leading goal scorer, Kate Barnes, sits seventh on the ladder for majors. As for Nightcliff, it looks like it could be another hard day at the office. Jamie Lee Puatutkimi is now the Tigers leading scorer, but it will take more than two goals to stop Tracy Village.
