Western Australia announces 40-player squad for National Under 18 Championships
EAST Fremantle has dominated the National Under 18 Championships list for Western Australia, with nine players included in the main squad, and a further two train-one players making it 11 from a 40-player squad. The next highest representation comes from Swan Districts with six main squad players and one train-on player, one more than Claremont and West Perth. Perth has five players, while Subiaco has three and Peel Thunder two.
The Western Australia side includes nine bottom-agers in the team, as well as seven over-agers. Among the top players to keep an eye on this season, East Fremantle has a couple of potential top 10 selections in ruckman, Luke Jackson and running winger, Jeremy Sharp, while Jack Buller (Claremont), Deven Robertson (Perth), and Riley Garcia and Jake Pasini (Swan Districts) are others to watch. With a consistent team across the board, expect Western Australia to be very competitive at the championships as they have been the last few years.
