Round 2 for many QAFLW match ups, but will history repeat itself?

ANOTHER week, another exciting round of QAFLW action for all fans to enjoy, and as many leagues are either done for the year or coming to their conclusions, there are still so many things to play out in the sunshine state.

This week’s match of the round sees a replay of a clash from back in round three in Bond University up against Coorparoo. Back in Round 3, it was a 29-point win to the Bull Sharks, after they kept the Kings scoreless for two quarters. Will the same thing happen again or will the Kings be able to turn things around this time?

Bond had four different goal scorers that day, with Josie McCabe and Wallis Randell both kicking majors, so that’s something that the Kings will certainly have to be wary of. Meanwhile for the Kings, Laura Blue is having a stellar season, and had a good game last time these two sides met, so she will be someone the Bull Sharks will need to keep an eye on. Jenae Govan is also dominating for the Kings, and was also one of the leading ball winners for her side when these two sides last met.

Not only did Bond dominate on the scoreboard last time around, but they also won many of the stats pretty convincingly too. They had over 100 more disposals than the Kings did, but the Kings laid more tackles than the Bull Sharks did. The Bull sharks also had a lot more inside 50s than the Kings did that particular afternoon.

In other games around the league this weekend, Southport are up for their third game in a week when they face Wilston Grange at home. Yeronga South Brisbane will certainly be hoping for a better showing second time around against Maroochydore, while UQ and Aspley battle it out for the first time this season.

QAFL WOMEN’S ROUND 10 FIXTURE

Southport vs Wilston Grange
Yeronga South Brisbane vs Maroochydore
Coorparoo vs Bond Uni
University of Queensland vs Aspley
