Q&A
Q: Scarlett, tell us a bit about your footy journey?
SJ: “My dad introduced me to it when I was younger. I played Auskick starting from three. Just played up with Eltham, and then I played double bottom-age with Knights a few years ago and I’m still playing now.”
Q: What role/position do you expect to play?
SJ: “Up forward, more of a high key forward, but also on a wing to use my run.”
Q: What are some of the strengths in your game?
SJ: “Definitely my run and carry, my marking and aerial, and probably my groundballs as well.”
Q: What are you looking to work on?
SJ: “I’m trying to work on my defensive pressure and tackling, just getting rewarded for it more often.”
Q: AFLW club you support?
SJ: “Collingwood.”
Q: Is there a reason for that?
SJ: “I go for them in the AFL and I just grew up watching them. Family as well.”
Q: Who’s a player you model your game on?
SJ: “Tayla Harris, just for her marking and her aerial, and Ella Roberts for her running.”
Q: Who’s had the most individual influence on your career?
SJ: “Definitely my dad and my pa, they’ve just supported me through it all and they’re always just cheering me on the sidelines and always there for me.”
Q: Finally, what goals do you set for yourself this year?
SJ: “Have fun with my footy and have fun with the girls. Hopefully national champs and hopefully get drafted.”
