THREE consecutive best on ground performances from leading Victorian AFLW Draft prospect Chloe Bown has seen the Oakleigh Chargers star race to the top of the Rookie Me Central Medal charts. The high-volume midfielder earned the full five votes in Rounds 8 and 10 to follow on from her Round 6 best on ground performance to take the lead in the medal count following Round 11.

Northern Knights’ Scarlett Johnson – who was tied for fourth after six rounds – has gone outright into the position with an additional five votes having played just the one match since, while injured teammate Marlo Graham and Greater Western Victoria Rebels’ Maggie Johnstone remain on 18 votes in equal 11th overall.
Overtaking them were Geelong Falcons duo Georgia Tyrrell – who rounds out the top five having accumulated another five votes – and Stella Huxtable, with Sandringham Dragons’ Macy Watkins and Murray/Giants utility Ellie Hall moving inside the Top 10 too. Just ahead of that trio are over-age Rebel Isabella Davies and bottom-age Ranges midfielder Brylee Anderson on 20 votes apiece.
There are six new club leaders in the polling, with Bown, Anderson and Davies the three previously mentioned for Oakleigh, Eastern and GWV having overtaken Martin, Tayla McMillan (17 votes) and Johnstone. Murray Bushrangers’ Nikhita Spiteri (17 votes) and Western Jets’ Tayla Olivieri (nine) are leading the way for their respective clubs, while Ella Jeffrey has joined Ava Bibby as Bendigo’s top votegetter.
Johnson, Alice Cunnington (Dandenong Stingrays), Grace Dillow (Gippsland Power) and Ava Read (Tasmania Devils) all shared their respective club’s most votes at the last update, but are now clear on top in that regard. Northern Territory’s Peggy Rock – an Under 16s All-Australian and double bottom-ager – polled five votes in the Thunder’s sole win to be her side’s top vote-getter as well.
