ALL FOUR WAFL Women’s Round 14 matches take place today in a huge few hours. While a couple of contests loom as one-sided battles, finals spots are up for grabs for a number of teams, while West Perth waits nervously in fifth having the bye.
- Team
Peel Thunder
East Fremantle
FORM
Outside of a pair of wins against East Perth, Peel Thunder has struggled the last two months to match it with the top sides after a competitive first month of action. They take on an East Fremantle team full of confidence after rolling West Perth last week, with the belief it can still play a role in the run home to finals.
TEAMS

CHANGES
East Fremantle regain running defender Natasha Entwistle for the big game, named in the team alongside crafty forward Grace Freeman. The pair replace Jada Tames and Cienna Leslie. For the Thunder, Ava Cristodero, Chelsea Hutchinson and Makinley Minchin return to the senior team, with Jade Bell, Mia Van Kleef and Jordain Thompson.
PREDICTION
East Fremantle should have too much experience for the young Peel Thunder side, and if the Sharks are to play finals, this is simply a must-win. For the Thunder, it will be a case of looking to remain as competitive as possible for as long as possible.
- Team
Subiaco
Perth
FORM
Premiership contenders Subiaco got back on track after its shock loss to South Fremantle a fortnight ago with a big win in Round 13. The Lions now take on Boorloo who sit at the bottom of the ladder with the one win to its name.
TEAMS

CHANGES
Perth has brought back Gemma Dix and Skye Elliott for the game, replacing Milla Spalding and Georgina Gordon. Subiaco has also made three changes with Marley Kelman, Karry Plummer and Lindal Rohde coming in for Danika Pisconeri, Scarlet Gallo and Lauren Bilaloski.
PREDICTION
Two sides at opposite ends of the ladder with different developmental aims in the 2025 WAFLW season. Subiaco should continue its great year to-date and post a win, though can never take the Demons lightly as they were up early in the fourth quarter the last time these two teams faced off.
- Team
Swan Districts
East Perth
FORM
Swan Districts have an opportunity to bounce back from their fourth loss of the season last week when they went down to Claremont and slipped to fourth on the table. With a game in hand compared to South Fremantle – who leapt into third spot – it is not all doom and gloom for the black and whites. East Perth on the other hand is on the bottom of the ladder still searching for its second win of the year.
TEAMS

CHANGES
Swan Districts have made just the one change for the contest, losing the experienced Emma Humphries, replaced by the versatile Emma Nanut. East Perth get back some experience of its own with Brianna Hyde and Kahra Sprlyan among five inclusions for the Royals. They do lose the likes of Layla Firns, Makayla Pugliese-Thompson and Jorja Elisseou however.
PREDICTION
Swan Districts will have the experience edge in the game and should be able to come away with the four points against the Royals. East Perth has lost a few key players – while regaining a couple – but the Swans have nice depth across the board and are chasing a finals spot.
- Team
South Fremantle
Claremont
FORM
The match of the round is likely to finish off Round 14 with South Fremantle fresh off a thrashing win over East Perth and upset against Subiaco to erase the disappointment of a shock loss to Perth the week prior to that. The Bulldogs have a tough ask here, but are playing well, with the unbeaten Claremont looking to add another win to the tally and make it 11 for the season thus far.
TEAMS

CHANGES
South Fremantle has lost veteran Lauren Vecchio for the clash with Jessica Watts replacing her. Claremont on the other hand has rolled out four changes with some extra firepower inside 50 through Bec Anderson and Rachel Ortlepp coming in. They are joined by Taylah Orzel and Lauren Hutton, while the likes of Hayley Colvin and Jessica Ritchie go out for Round 14.
PREDICTION
Claremont has remained unbeaten this season for a reason and look too strong on paper once more. However South Fremantle showed the potential to cause an upset with its win over Subiaco a fortnight ago, so can take it up to the Tigers on any given day.
