A couple of over-agers grabbed the key votes in Geelong’s away win over Northern Knights as Chloe Bryant and Kate O’Brien got on the board, while 2006-born Oakleigh duo Tatyana Perry and Jessica Owen polled in defeat to Tasmania Devils.
Later on in the round, key Vic Country stars Maggie Johnstone (best on ground in a heavy loss) and Ella Stoddart polled exceptionally well, while the few Vic Metro players in the round such as Phoebe Hargreaves and Kiara Boyd grabbed votes.
Down on the Apple Isle, a trio of Allies representatives tuned up for the big game on Sunday against Vic Metro with Mia Anderson, Mischa Barwin and Priya Bowering all helping steer the Devils to a commanding victory over Oakleigh.
Finally, Lacey Nihill, Beth Morris and Olivia Lacy all polled well in Bendigo’s first win of the year defeating Western Jets, while Eastern Ranges’ Ashleigh Thatcher earned her first votes of the year in the absence of other teammates against the Power. Gippsland duo Abby Hobson and Chelsea Sutton continued their fine season with more votes.
