2025 CTLG | Round 15 Player of the Week: Chloe Bown

OAKLEIGH Chargers star Chloe Bown‘s incredible top-age season rolled on with another stat-stuffing performance in her side’s 28-point win over Dandenong Stingrays. The bounce-back victory after two straight losses was spearheaded by Bown who earned our Player of the Week nomination for Round 15.

Bown had 32 disposals, seven marks, five clearances, 10 inside 50s and two rebound 50s in the 8.5 (53) to 3.7 (25) triumph. She was best afield working well with fellow Vic Metro representatives Teagan Murtic (28 disposals, three marks, six clearances and three rebound 50s) and Chloe Thorn (24 disposals, five tackles, three clearances and seven inside 50s) both busy and Bailee Martin kicking 3.3 for the winners.

Past Player of the Week nominee Ellie Hall racked up 39 disposals, six marks, seven tackles, eight clearances, five inside 50s, four rebound 50s and kicked a goal in a loss to the Jets, as Charlie O’Connor Moreira helped herself to 27 touches, four marks, eight tackles, five clearances, 11 inside 50s and three rebound 50s in the win.

Lacey Nihill and Ella Jeffrey combined for 59 disposals and 10 marks in defeat for the Pioneers against the Cannons, while another losing player in Tasmania’s Evie Ward starred in a tough defeat to GWV Rebels, notching up 34 disposals, nine clearances, three inside 50s, four rebound 50s and laying seven tackles.

Jovie Skewes-Clinton (24 disposals, eight tackles, four inside 50s and three goals), Isabella Davies (32 disposals, five tackles, seven clearances and four inside 50s) and Maggie Johnstone (25 disposals, seven tackles, five clearances and six inside 50s) were all prolific.

In the final game of the round, Macy Watkins (25 disposals, seven tackles and six clearances) andChloe Williams (21 disposals, eight marks, four tackles, three inside 50s and six rebound 50s) were standouts in the Dragons’ win over the Ranges. Past Player of the Week nominee Brylee Anderson stepped up with 25 disposals, nine tackles, nine clearances and four inside 50s in defeat.
