PROFILED | 2026 Vic Metro Girls summer squad
THE 2026 Vic Metro Girls summer squad has 25 players between the top-age (2008-born) and bottom-age (2009-born) draft crops. Having won the past two titles at the AFLW Under 18 Championships – and being victorious in three of their four games last season – Vic Metro will eye off a three-peat at the level.
>> FULL SQUADS: 2026 Victorian summer squads revealed
Chloe Capeci (Calder Cannons)
Defender | 168cm | 16/12/2008
One of the emerging talents for the Cannons last season, Capeci has impressed behind the ball and further afield. The Aberfeldie junior played 14 games across the 2025 Coates Talent League Girls season and showed her potential to develop through the middle or off half-back. A smart reader of the play with clean disposal, Capeci can intercept and rebound with ease, making her a valuable prospect for Vic Metro’s defensive stocks.
Felicity Mahoney (Calder Cannons)
Midfielder | 173cm | 20/07/2008
Mahoney stepped into the midfield in the absence of Calder’s impressive National Academy teammates, and showed she could hold her own against quality opposition. The Maribyrnong Park junior finished third in the Cannons’ best and fairest voting, demonstrating her consistency throughout the 2025 season. A hard-working ball winner who competes at every contest, Mahoney brings energy and intensity to the middle of the ground.
Brylee Anderson (Eastern Ranges)
Midfielder | 172cm | 25/03/2008
A genuine top-end talent and National Academy member, Anderson is the sister of Hawthorn’s Cody. She is a natural ball-winner who made her debut for Eastern early and played through her side’s run to the 2025 premiership. Winner of the AFL’s Susan Alberti Education Assistance Award, she was Vic Metro’s MVP at Under 16s level in 2024. A booming kick with strength in the air and at ground level, Anderson averaged 24 disposals and seven tackles per game in 2025, establishing herself as one of the premier midfielders in this year’s AFLW Draft crop.

April Dye (Eastern Ranges)
Ruck/Forward | 178cm | 25/04/2009
One of five bottom-agers in the Vic Metro squad, Dye is a versatile prospect who gained valuable Talent League experience in 2025 across seven games. Dye continued to improve as the season went on, averaging 10.3 disposals, 22.9 hitouts and 2.4 tackles. Still raw, Dye has plenty of eye-catching traits to build upon. An exciting talent for the 2027 AFLW Draft, Dye will be one to watch as she develops through the state program.
Maeve Gill (Eastern Ranges)
Key Defender | 180cm | 24/04/2008
Gill was one of the most consistent performers for the Ranges in 2025, playing 16 games across the Coates Talent League Girls season and taking on some big jobs in the back 50. A member of the highly talented Eastern squad, she is not a massive accumulator, and instead locks down on an opponent and is able to defend strongly. A reliable competitor who does the team-oriented things well, Gill has established herself as a valued squad member.
Perri Goulding (Eastern Ranges)
Forward/Midfielder | 162cm | 05/07/2009
Another exciting bottom-age prospect, Goulding went from strength to strength after starring at the AFLW Under 16s Championships and then making the Under 18s Ranges’ squad playing 10 games. She brings energy and enthusiasm to every contest and has shown the ability to impact games both through the middle and up forward. A player with plenty of upside, Goulding will look to establish herself further in 2026.
Bridie Neale (Eastern Ranges)
Wing/Forward | 166cm | 03/03/2008
Able to stretch the field off a wing, Neale became one of the most prominent players in the position throughout the Coates Talent League Girls last season. She averaged 12 disposals and four inside 50s, while booting five goals, capable of resting forward and having an impact there too. Plays a very offensive running game and covers the ground exceptionally well to help dictate the match for her side.
Emily Rankin (Eastern Ranges)
Midfielder/Forward | 166cm | 11/05/2008
Riding shotgun to Anderson in the Eastern midfield, Rankin has the toughness and class that will impress plenty of people in 2026. Highly touted at the Ranges, Rankin averaged 23.1 disposals, 1.7 marks, 5.7 tackles, 4.9 clearances and 3.7 inside 50s. Unlucky not to make the National Academy, Rankin can easily play off half-forward and be a distributor going forward, but will most likely play predominantly midfield for both the Ranges and Vic Metro.
Scout Semple (Eastern Ranges)
Midfielder/Forward | 162cm | 03/10/2008
Semple joins Anderson and Emily Rankin as the likely starting Vic Metro midfield, with the Eastern trio ensuring the club has another big draft haul. The Ranges small has great goal sense and smarts to get herself out of trouble, while Semple is the type of player who pops up to hurt you on the scoreboard but is comfortable around the clearances too. Spent more time at half-forward in 2025 but expect that to change in 2026.
Lara Williams (Eastern Ranges)
Utility | 169cm | 29/08/2008
After starting her career up forward, Williams moved to half-back and rotated off a wing, showcasing her true versatility. Her strengths – which include her footskills, smarts and run and carry – all applied well to the role and she is a player who teammates can get the ball in the hands of and watch her transition it effectively. She was part of the Ranges’ premiership side after being an emergency in the grand final as a double bottom-ager but had a breakout 2025 season.

Alli Allen (Northern Knights)
Utility | 172cm | 15/10/2008
A hard-working utility from the Knights, Allen is likely to be a predominant midfielder in 2026 after showing promising signs in the role throughout 2025. In her first season at Coates Talent League Girls level, Allen averaged 13.8 disposals, 2.2 marks and laid a whopping 8.7 tackles per game, emphasising her defensive intent. Also representing the Indigenous Academy against the Multicultural Academy last year, the Research junior will add toughness to any side she plays for.
Maddison Meagher (Northern Knights)
Wing/Defender | 162cm | 02/08/2008
Northern’s headline prospect for 2026, Meagher has different speed gears to the rest of the competition, and once she gets goalside, it is game over for the opposition. Able to play off a wing or half-back, she has become a feature of the Knights side and stood out at the National Futures match with her impressive speed and ability to get into space. While she is still rounding out her overall game, she will feature in plenty of highlight reels thanks to that explosive speed.
Scarlett Bown (Oakleigh Chargers)
Tall Forward | 178cm | 22/09/2009
The younger sister of 2025 AFLW draftee Chloe, Bown was remarkable in her first season at Talent League level, booting 24 goals to play second tall forward to competition leading goalkicker, Martin. She made history when the siblings won back-to-back Rookie Me Central Player of the Week nominations, slamming home seven goals against Sandringham Dragons. Scary to think she bears similar traits to her older sister, but has extra size on her side.
Isabelle Godfrey (Oakleigh Chargers)
Wing | 162cm | 11/08/2008
One of a handful of eye-catching bottom-age talents from the Chargers, Godfrey provides hard-running down the wing. Her ability to cover the ground and link up with teammates makes her a valuable contributor to the Chargers’ ball movement and with a basketball background, Godfrey has nice spatial awareness. She is developing her fundamentals further, but has plenty of upside for the future and should be a key player in 2026.
Sophia Green (Oakleigh Chargers)
Midfielder/Defender | 169cm | 22/112008
A former Murray Bushrangers prospect who has switched to Oakleigh Chargers, Green brings pressure and defensive intensity. She represented Vic Country in 2025 before falling under the Metro region this year and has shown her ability to play across all three lines. Predominantly a midfielder/defender, Green has the potential to go to another level in 2026 and is one to watch in a stacked lineup. Finds the ball at will.

Leni Lockyer (Oakleigh Chargers)
Wing | 165cm | 26/02/2008
Collingwood F/D
Eligible to Collingwood as a father-daughter through 227-game Magpie Tarkyn – the current National Academy head coach – Lockyer is another hard-running wing from the Chargers. She was named in the National Futures squad and featured in the showcase match, demonstrating her ability on the big stage. A smooth mover with good endurance and highly regarded internally, Lockyer has a bright future and will be one for Magpies fans to watch out for this year.
Bailee Martin (Oakleigh Chargers)
Tall Forward | 176cm | 03/09/2008
A genuine contender for Pick 1, Martin is a goalkicking machine who booted 43 goals in 10 games at Coates Talent League level, including hauls of seven (multiple) and nine. Her seven-goal performance against Vic Country at the national championships was a highlight, cementing her status as the most dangerous forward in the country. Elite athleticism, aerial ability and goal sense make her the complete forward package, and if she becomes more consistent with her set shots, look out. A National Academy member who terrorised defenders in 2025.
Isabella Mazzei (Oakleigh Chargers)
Midfielder | 170cm | 06/06/2008
Another talented prospect from the Chargers, Mazzei is tough as nails and very clean at the coalface. An inside midfielder who competes hard at stoppages and extracts the ball effectively, she has shown she can mix it with older opponents. Mazzei is working on some of her technical skills, but from a competitive and defensive standpoint, is one of the better prospects. Will only get better with another season of experience under the belt.

Maya Duane (Sandringham Dragons)
Midfielder/Forward | 180cm | 16/03/2009
One of the best bottom-age prospects heading into 2026, Duane has the potential to create all sorts of headaches for opposition coaches. Tall and athletic but able to cruise around the midfield with ease, she extracts the ball consistently, and can take some massive grabs. A human highlight reel, Duane can adjust her composure at times, but she has tricks that very few players have, and will be an exciting player to watch over the next two seasons.
Grace McIntyre (Sandringham Dragons)
Wing | 172cm | 31/12/2008
A hard-running winger with upside, McIntyre showed some serious wheels throughout the Sandringham Dragons’ 2025 campaign. She can cover the ground exceptionally well and mop up in defence, or get the ball forward. Not afraid to tuck the pill under her arm and take off, McIntyre is born on December 31, making her a top-ager by just one day. Will look to develop her execution by foot, but gets to the right spots and applies pressure.
Grace Perrett (Sandringham Dragons)
Defender/Midfielder | 177cm | 08/04/2008
Perrett was key to Melbourne Grammar’s back-to-back Herald Sun Shield victories, showing her ability against quality opposition including a run-with role on Martin. Equally a composed defender who can also impact through the midfield, she has experience with both defensive and offensive gamestyles. Her clean hands and ability to work hard across the ground make her a valuable contributor and will bring toughness and size to any position.
Kiara Boyd (Western Jets)
Forward/Midfielder | 173cm | 02/06/2008
A dual sports star who oozes class, Boyd has expanded her versatility from being a marking forward to a player who can roll through the midfield or even down back. A reliable kick and strong overhead, she is one with plenty of upside and looms as Western’s top prospect for 2026. Already experienced Vic Metro representation as a bottom-ager, Boyd burst onto the scene with three goals in the pouring wet as a 15-year-old and has shown plenty of glimpses since.

Jacinta Eteuati (Western Jets)
Defender | 175cm | 27/05/2008
A running defender who caught the eye in the later stages of the 2025 season, Eteuati brings speed and agility to the back half. Having impressed at the AFLW Under 16 Development Championships in 2024, she just has that ‘it’ factor about her game. Her ability to rebound and carry the ball out of defence makes her a valuable asset for the Jets. As she continues to develop, Eteuati has the potential to go to another level in 2026.
Tayla Olivieri (Western Jets)
Midfielder | 159cm | 14/02/2008
The high-accumulating onballer had a huge bottom-age season, racking up the ball at will and winning the Jets’ best and fairest as a bottom-ager. She is only small at 159cm, but packs a punch, and laid a whopping 8.9 tackles per game across 14 matches last season. Olivieri also racked up 19 disposals and 5.6 clearances for the Jets, while averaging 14.1 contested possessions. Her intensity and effort each and every game is massive.
Addison West (Western Jets)
Midfielder/Wing | 166cm | 16/05/2008
An inside-outside prospect who has shown versatility in her game, West is another name to note down for the Jets’ 2026 contingent. Capable of winning the ball at stoppages and then using it effectively on the outside, she brings balance to the midfield. She started on a wing and eventually worked to an inside role, with her ability to impact games in patches shining through. Greater consistency in 2026 will only see her further improve. An exciting talent.
