IMPROVEMENTS:
- Exposure
- Consistency
Everyone loves an old fashioned draft bolter, and the talented Tentye out of Woodvillle-West Torrens might just be that. Not necessarily one for this year, but certainly could be with extra time in the system, Tentye was playing country footy for North Gambier this year until Eagles coach Narelle Smith was able to get her into the side.
Making her debut in Round 10, Tentye had three consecutive weeks of games two to four where she averaged 22.3 disposals, 4.7 clearances and 8.3 tackles displaying the fierce nature that she has shown throughout her country career. She has high levels of competitiveness and defensive pressure, but what stands out is her clean hands and finishing ability. Though she only kicked two goals for the Eagles, one was an absolute ripper from the tightest of angles against Central District in the pouring rain.
Tentye has not had the exposure of some others and therefore has to show more consistency at the level, but she performed so well that South coach Rick Watts was forced to negate her impact which is high praise for the Eagles prospect. The 20-year-old had booted 35 goals from nine games for North Gambier including two bags of nine, and another two of six and five. Has enormous upside.
