2025 Vic Under 18s Girls squads named for trials
VICTORIAN selectors will take the next step in whittling down the potential names of state representatives when Vic Metro and Vic Country go head-to-head in a couple of trial matches at La Trobe University on Sunday.
In both contests, a mixed Vic Metro side will take on a mixed Vic Country team with the matches taking place at 11am and 1pm respectively. Though the bulk of the Victorian squads will be picked from the players named, there are still players who will be considered even if unavailable for the weekend’s matches.
Four of the six Victorian National Academy members are playing, with Eastern Ranges duo Tayla McMillan and Jordyn Allen in action, as are Dandenong Stingrays’ Mizuki Brothwell and Gippsland Power’s Ella Stoddart. Oakleigh Chargers’ Chloe Bown and Calder Cannons’ Chloe Baker-West – who both donned the ‘Big V’ as bottom-agers last season – are not playing.
