TOP 10s | 2025 National AFL Draft Combine
THE AFL has today revealed the top 10 results from testing conducted at this year’s National Draft Combine. Held at the State Netball and Hockey Centre in Parkville, participants completed the standing and running vertical jump, 20m sprint, and agility test. The 2km time trial was completed earlier in the week at the AIA Centre.

Eastern Ranges goalsneak Lachy Dovaston took out the event’s only record, finishing first in the agility test with the fourth-fasted ever recorded time of 7.794 seconds. His premiership teammate Oskar Taylor took out the 20m sprint with a rapid time of 2.823 seconds, having earned a late call-up from the Victorian state combine.
Taylor helped complete an all-Eastern podium on the agility test, finishing second with a time of 7.840 seconds, while defender Xavier Taylor came in third (7.869 seconds). Meanwhile, ruckman Cooper Duff-Tytler and Vic Metro teammate Sam Grlj achieved the special feat of landing top 10 finishes in both the 20m sprint and 2km time trial.
Elsewhere, there was success for the Sydney Swans Academy as high-flying utility Max King soared for the highest standing vertical jump (80cm). Fellow Sydney and Allies representative Harry Kyle was top of the running vertical jump chart with a massive 98cm leap. Sandringham running machine Jack Dalton was the meet’s other winner with a scintillating 5:53 in the 2km time trial.
All testing at the AFL Draft Combine was conducted by Rookie Me, the official Athletic Testing Partner of the AFL’s Talent Pathways.
