2026 AFLW U16s Championships fixtures revealed

THE FUTURE of the AFL Women’s competition will be on display over the Victorian school holidays with the two-match per side, round-robin tournament kicking off from Tuesday. A total of 10 teams will take part with South Australia looking to make it four straight titles.

The Croweaters take on Western Australia at Thomas Farms Oval next Tuesday, April 7 in a standalone contest, before Thursday sees four games across two states. The All-Victorian clash takes place at Trevor Barker Beach Oval at the same time a triple-header between the Northern Academies and Allies-aligned teams face off at Blacktown.

The four regions that make up the Allies will remain at Blacktown for their second match on Sunday, April 12. A floating fixture between the two Queensland Northern Academies, South Australia, Western Australia and the Victorian teams will be decided after Thursday with the three matches part of a triple-header at Shepley Oval.

At the conclusion of the Development Championships, each team will select their MVP, with an overall best and fairest and All-Australian team to be selected by a panel comprising AFL Talent Pathways staff and AFLW club recruiters.

All matches will be live streamed via the AFL Play YouTube channel.

The squad lists for each of the 10 teams are available via here.
