Best ever players and teams from a pathway program? Prepare to have your say

WITH no Under 18s footy on at the moment and June usually being the month where the best of the best go at it through the AFL Under 18 National Championships, Draft Central has decided to run a couple of special feature series throughout the upcoming months to fill the void until footy is back.

Everyone has their own opinion as to who might be the best player from a particular region, or who might make an All-Stars side if that region formed a team. Well, now you can have your say because we are going to be running knockout voting polls of each team from the NAB League (including a Tasmanian team), SANFL and WAFL from the AFL Draft era. In other words, Dustin Martin is back at the Bendigo Pioneers, Dane Swan pulls on the Calder Cannons colours again, and Brodie Grundy will be back in the Double Blues uniform for Sturt.

Over the next couple of months, we will be going through each of the sides for you to vote for the best player to come out of that region, while we form a best 24 from the regions in the shape of a line-up. Once all 32 sides are done, the All-Star teams will go into a knockout draw to determine which region you, the voting public determine has helped develop the best AFL players.

Starting tomorrow, voting will open on our Instagram story with the Round of 16 for the Bendigo Pioneers. Once a winner is decided, we’ll wrap up the article with the winner, who will captain the All-Stars side for the team-against-team polls later on. As a sneak peek for how the draws will look, below is the Bendigo Pioneers draw that will determine the ultimate winner.

Make sure you follow our Instagram @draftcentralAUS to vote each day.
