Carlton best and fairest winner Amy Trindade really exploded at state league level during the 2025 season, becoming a consistent ball-winner and averaging 21.1 disposals, 4.1 marks, 4.5 clearances, 3.1 inside 50s and 2.0 rebound 50s. In the past, Trindade has shown promise, but was yet to piece it together as a late bloomer through the Calder Cannons program which she captained in 2023.

Fast forward two years, and after some nice signs last season through eight games at VFLW level (9.5 disposals, 2.0 marks, 2.1 tackles and 1.3 inside 50s), Trindade's move into the midfield to replace the outgoing Isla Baldwin paid dividends in a massive way. A really smart player who knows her way around a stoppage, Trindade's consistency was undoubted by the end of the year.

The major knock on the Blues midfielder's game is her speed, with her strength developing - though she is still small compared to other midfielders - with most other areas a big tick. Defensively she works hard, she is so good in the air for a smaller player and is smart once the ball hits the deck too. If you take out that athletic component, then Trindade is a really neat player who has dug deep to further enhance her game and prove herself at senior level.
