Calder Cannons captain Amy Trindade started the season on fire with a two-goal performance against Sandringham Dragons to haul her team over the line. It turned out to be her best effort despite picking up an injury, though she regained form when she returned mid-sason and had seven consecutive games of double-digit disposals. With natural leadership and clever footy IQ, Trindade has gained interest from AFLW clubs for her versatility to play between midfield and forward.

Good overhead and an ability to find space around the ground, Trindade is only small at 160cm, but knows where to go to have an impact on games. Speed will be the main concern for clubs going forward, with her explosiveness a work in progress, but her natural footballing is what holds her in good stead. A draft possibility, she could be one to watch with an extra year under her belt as well.

Though she missed out on Vic Metro selection, Trindade did receive some AFLW interest late and looms as a potential roughie in this year's draft. Given she missed some football in 2023, she has some upside, particularly from her smarts and aerial prowess.
